Secluded & Private Raccoon Ridge is a private two bedroom, two-bathroom get away located in Ocona Lake Estates, a quiet cabin-filled neighborhood located on the side of a mountain. The locale is extremely wooded and secluded. You will feel like you are miles away from anyone else! The master bedroom features a queen bed while the second bedroom is home to a full bed. Both feature the best mattresses, sheets, comforters, and pillows around! A sleeper sofa with a pull out twin bed can accommodate one guest, while an air mattress is also available to sleep two additional guests. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the dishes, pots, pans and appliances that you could need. Grocery shopping is available for an additional cost. All you have to do is provide your shopping list and you will find everything in the cabin upon your arrival.

Skiing Information: Cataloochee Ski Area - Located 15 miles away in nearby Maggie Valley, great skiing is what Cataloochee’s all about. For 45 years, skiers have enjoyed the exciting slopes of this North Carolina Ski Area, winding trails and a friendly, helpful atmosphere that make the Cataloochee experience nothing but cool fun. Here families learn their skiing skills on special beginner slopes with their own chairlift. Then, they graduate to more difficult intermediate slopes like “Lower Omigosh” and the “Rock Island Run.” Finally, they advance to 5,400-foot Moody Top, with its 740’ vertical drop, while experienced snowboarders can hone their skills in the “Cat Cage” terrain park. The Rock Island Line quad lift opens more of the mountain to intermediate skiers than ever before. Together the slopes of Cataloochee present some of the most welcoming and challenging terrain in the Southeast.

Golf Information: Smoky Mountain Country Club - The Smoky Mountain Country Club -- ten minutes east of Bryson City -- offers an enjoyable and unforgettable golfing experience for players of all skill levels. In contrast to many area golf courses, which are actually mountain valley courses, Smoky Mountain Country Club is a true mountain course with almost 400 feet of elevation change from the valley floor to mountain tees. Tee shots soar off mountaintops and appear to stay in the air forever. 5,000-foot mountain peaks provide a spectacular backdrop for every vista along the 18-hole, 5982-yard par 71 course, with its bluegrass fairways, bermuda tees, and bent grass greens. The Smoky Mountain Country Club and Pro Shop is open year round.
