Winter Renters (November thru March) The Elk Horn Lodge is located in the NC Mountains at a 4,500 foot elevation. During the winter months, there may be periods of moderate to heavy snow fall in addition to freezing weather conditions. It is highly recommended that Winter Renters check weather conditions prior to arrival and use a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Rental fees will not be refunded if weather conditions and failure to use an appropriate vehicle prevent the Lessee, their family or guests from arriving at the property.
