This villa, located at the Village of Bear Trap Dunes, just minutes from the beach, overlooks one of the outdoor pools and the 7th hole of the award-winning golf course. The 27 hole course was cited by Golf Week Magazine, Oct., 2003, as 'one of America's Best Golf Courses.' The villa staircase winds up to a spacious great room furnished with colorful, comfortable pieces that invite you to relax and enjoy the pleasure of being in exceptionally attractive surroundings. In front of the fireplace is a large sectional sofa, the left section of which makes into a double sleeper sofa. Over the fireplace is a large TV with VCR and scattered throughout the living space are chairs made for ease and relaxation. There is a dining area where you will find a handsome glass top and rattan dining table with six chairs. Around the convenient kitchen are the most comfortable and colorful counter stools we could find.

Interior Arrangement The kitchen is made for easy preparation of food and drink, and is fully equipped with all the necessities of dining and entertaining. Leading from the great room is a hallway which takes you to two bedrooms and two baths. To the right is a twin bedroom, which is furnished with a TV and seating area. At the end of the hall is a full bath with tub/ shower, and to the left is the master bedroom with a queen bed, and a delightful sitting area with TV. The adjoining bath has a stall shower, tub, and double sinks. As you continue to the second level you will pass through a small office area set up for your computer and extra seating. Upstairs is a charming room with a plantation trundle bed, TV and a full bath. The loft has been made private by curtains which may be opened and closed and a carved wooden screen.

Area Activities The villa at the Villages of Bear Trap Dunes is conveniently located to Bethany Beach by a shuttle (in season) and by car to Rehoboth, DE. Ocean City, MD, Lewes, DE and other interesting locations. The shopping is extraordinary - from antiques to surfboards, it is available in this interesting area. In addition to the parks at Bear Trap Dunes, there are oceanfront State Parks, the Bay where water-skiing, sailing, and other recreational activities are available. Grocery stores and other specialty stores are minutes away or as far as you would like to travel. Bethany, Rehoboth, and Ocean City all have wonderful and varied boardwalks for idling away your time. You really don't have to leave Bear Trap to find something to do, but there is a lot to see and do in the area. You will find a Medical Center close to the Village and a hospital in Lewes, churches of all denominations, and a variety of recreational facilities for all.

Further Afield North on the Coastal Highway you will find some good surfing at the Inlet and possibly a fishing boat to take you out for some ocean fishing. The scenery is beautiful on the way to Dewey Beach and into Rehoboth, with its many fine shops and art galleries. If you are interested in historic towns, Lewes is the place for you. Small enough to walk around in for your sightseeing, and there is always a shop or two or some fine restaurants to tempt you. Traveling South on Rt #1, you will see Fenwick Island on the way to Ocean City. The large Convention Center in Ocean City is not far from Bethany Beach, as well as the theme parks, ocean fishing or bay sailing available. If you enjoy racing, you will find a thoroughbred track at Delaware Park as well as a casino, and harness racing in season at Ocean Downs, near Ocean City. And if you like Maryland crab, you can get your fill in the area, prepared any way you like it. So come and explore!

Golf Information: The 27 hole golf course is a championship course designed with the environment in mind as well as a challenge, and is 'one of America's Best Golf Courses', according to Golf Week Magazine, Oct., 2003. You will find a nicely equipped caddy shop as well as a Clubhouse which is convenient and boasts a fine menu. The fees change for the weeks and weekends, so we recommend you call the Golf Pro (number will be provided) to request fees and tee times.

Guest Book For a change of scene you can go north on Rt #1 and head for the historic town of Lewes where you may take the ferry to Cape May, NJ., Rehoboth is on the way home and has lots of Outlets and antique shops just in case you'd like to shop a little. Or you could head south to Ocean City and dine on some great MD crab. All along the highways are miniature golf courses, water parks, ice cream parlors, and some great restaurants. If you prefer to laze on the beach, the free shuttle runs about every 20 minutes back and forth to Bethany Beach. Just look for the shuttle signs. There is one near you. There really is something for everyone - families, reunions, showers, wedding parties, corporate retreats, and of course, golfers.
