What a location! On the Tidal Marsh, directly across the street from the beach. See glimpses of the ocean from your screened porch, living room and kitchen. Get an amazing sunset view of the marshes from your king size bed or the rear screened porch. Topping all this literally is the roof top deck with panoramic views of both the marshes and ocean. This is the ideal vacation home for those with a smaller family or group. A more peaceful setting than that offered by the islands condos, or perfect for those who simply want their own space yet not the expense of one of the islands larger homes. This totally refurbished 1100sq foot interior is a delight. All new stainless steel appliances in a wonderful blue distressed finished kitchen bring the beach right indoors. All new furnishings in bright Caribbean colors put together by our favorite designer in the style of Maine Cottage. Come and enjoy!

Beach: sun, swim, horseshoes, surf, water parks, sailing, para sail, jet ski, crabbing, boating, pier fishing, deep sea fishing/charters. Surfing is the big thing here, lessons, board rentals available. You are near lighthouse end of island and park for those early morning (off the leash, sush--!) walks. Charleston 11 miles, 20 min. car ride away has it all: Cobbled streets, historic houses, high end shopping, antiques, 100's of restaurants, aquarium, Imax theatre, old forts, old ships, very old ships! The most amazingly kept gardens (yards) to peek at while ambling along. Museums, Art galleries, Theatre, festivals almost year round. Folly center street 1.5 miles . Folly is fun and funky,old and hippie yet new and yuppy with its quaint stores mixed with new coffee shops and wine bars as well as some great restaurant's perfect mixture of beach and village in Folly and Charleston 20 minutes away for more fun (+food) All our guests vow to be regulars ,they fall in love with it all.

Blending this great home all together is a dog friendly theme as seen in our custom fun and funky dog proof floor cloths as well as the antique black and white beach and fishing photos. This home has a furnished front porch. Large living/dining area with full size futon (new fully sprung mattress). A well stocked remodeled kitchen, a queen sized bedroom, a king sized bedroom with private bath, as mentioned this bedroom leads to the back screened porch and overlooks the tranquil marshes. there are are laundry facilities available tucked away behind closed doors in one of the bathrooms. You will sleep well/ relax well / and be happy at The Perfect Beach Cottage.

please look up our previous guests comments about this house. We have had only very happy guests who vow to return and many of them do time and time again. In fact some guests believe it is their 2nd home they have been there so often in the short time we have been renting .Why do we have such loyalty .We offer a unique home ,one that is not too expensive ,places in this price range are usually condos .We allow pets in fact we prefer our pet rentors as they keep our house in such good condition when they leave as they want to return again and they have had experience of other pet homes .Also at the beach land is worth so much more than the houses that a lot of the small ones in the best locations are being let go or not taken care of or being knocked down to be replaced by something that will bring in more rent .In a island like Folly that is dog friendly there are still only a handful of houses renting to pet owners and hundreds not allowing pets no matter what .!!!

Guest Book Mix this up with an old fashioned fishing pier, beautiful lighthouse, great beaches and an eclectic group of people, not to mind the amazing proximity to Charleston, the 2nd most desirable vacation destination in the U.S. in 2004 according to one leading travel magazine, and you have found the 'hottest real estate market in the south.' We have restaurant guides, things to do guides, just ask. If you haven't been to Folly before we can help you fall in love with it too and you will keep coming back. If you get bored its your own fault! When you're tired with all the above just relax on the rooftop with your faithful companion at your feet enjoy the sunset, cook up some local shrimp and start dreaming of next years vacation or retirement!
