Situated just under a mile from the famous Craigville Beach, your stay at Hyannisport Hideaway will be enhanced by its proximity to this wonderful warm Nantucket Sound beach with 5 miles of sand. It is one of the largest and most popular on Cape Cod. The water is a very pleasant temperature until early September, and the gentle swells are refreshing compared to more placid Cape waters. It is generally free of seaweed and rocks, as well. There are lifeguards and bathhouses in season, and you can always catch a game of volleyball. The long beach and foamy surf make for beautiful walks in quieter seasons. We will provide you with a free beach-parking pass that will allow you to park your car at all of the Town of Barnstable beaches. That includes amazing Sandy Neck beach with a lighthouse, 9,000-acre preserve with dunes, bird life, marshes, and shellfish (but a bit of a drive at 10 miles). Several other excellent beaches are all less than 2 miles from our home.
