This beautiful newer (10/04) lakefront home features stunning panoramic views of Lake Sebasticook. 250 ft. of private (not shared) waterfront, with dock (in summer). Set on 2 beautifully landscaped acres. You'll be pleasantly surprised when you pull into the circular driveway, and more pleased when you enter the house with its pine covered Adirondack styled vaulted ceiling and beautiful open floor plan. Most people that enter for the first time say Wow!! kitchen is fully equipped with all the comforts of home. All appliances are new (10/04). There is a large (200 sq. ft.) 3 season enclosed porch, and a BRAND NEW (6/08) 288 sq ft DECK. each bdrm has a full + a twin bed. There are TVs in the living room, and each bedroom. The house is very kid friendly, there are tons of family appropriate movies, games, and some toys and life jackets. The waterfront isn't the greatest for the really tiny tots, but we have a kiddie pool and a slip and slide. New dock with stairs, fire pit

The fishing, swimming, and boating is great on the lake. You could enjoy a whole week without ever leaving the property, but there are plenty of area activities to choose from. Newport is a hub for Snowmobiling and four wheeling, with many of the states ITS trails converging in area. One trail is just around the corner. The area features hunting, antiques, state and county fairs, farm stands, apple picking and ice cream stand just around the corner, 9 hole golf up the street, 18 hole a few miles (Palmyra), mini golf, bird watching, wildlife sightings, ice fishing, dog sled races, corn maze in fall, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, bowling, pool, arcade, bicycling, photography, summer theatre, white water rafting, scenic train, music festivals, crafts, leaf peeping. Newport Maine is considered the crossroads of Maine, It is at the foot of the Moosehead Trail, it is ideally located for day trips, located on Sebasticook Lake, just minutes from I-95, exit 157

  • Bathroom is tastefully decorated and shampoo and soap, toilet tissue is provided as well as a few other toiletries, and a first aid kit towels provided, but again, I ask you to wash them before you leave.

  • bedrooms are tastefully decorated with nice bedding, they have small tv's, (with DISH network) one has a vhs tape player and we have many family appropriate movies. each bedroom has a large closet, pegboard on wall for towels etc, plenty of extra bedding, magazines, and kids books. the basement is fairly decent and I have two futons down there, for overflow guests, (I put all the teenagers down there!!!!) all bedding is provided but I do ask you to wash the sheets before you leave, because I would have to increase the cleaning fee if the cleaning lady had to do this and even then, she may not have enough time between rentals to do this. if you are in a hurry, if the laundry isn't completely done when you leave, you can leave it running

I could describe the features of this house all day and you would still be pleasantly surprised when you see it. Even the photos can't possibly do it justice. The location is private yet just minutes from the Newport shopping areas and I 95, only 3.5 hours from Boston, 30 minutes to Bangor, Skowhegan, Fairfield, 1 hour to coast. :

Special Services We are able to accommodate special requests, including, but not limited to: lobster bake, pig roasts, arranging a surprise, such as preparing the house with birthday balloons, homemade cakes, catering gift basket, grocery shopping, babysitting, you name it, fees are reasonable.

There is a finished area in the basement with a TV (not on dish) for watching movies, or if the kids want to bring their Playstations, etc.

Skiing Information: 20 miles away in Hermon, very affordable

Golf Information: there is a 9 hole public course just up the street, very affordable, and an excellent 18 hole corse about 5 miles away.

Guest Book Bingo, museums, movie theatres, symphony, ice sailing, live theatre, mountain, ice and rock climbing, and that's just for starters!
