Outdoors, you can relax in the spa or if you are more adventurous, try hiking up to the top of the ridge behind the cabin where the property borders the USFS. Don't be surprised by the wildlife you may encounter, such as the wild turkey, deer and fox. Looking for something to do in the area? How about white water rafting on one of three nearby rivers, do a little gem mining, golfing in the mountains is awesome, or take a scenic train ride through a mountain gorge? Perhaps get a map, explore a little and go on a self-guided waterfall tour. Or why not spend a lazy afternoon on an inner tube floating down the Little Tennessee River, or for a wild inner tube ride, try the shoals of Deep Creek in nearby Bryson City? Visit the Cherokee Indian Reservation and experience a moving performance of 'Unto These Hills, performed live in their outdoor ampitheatre.
