Asheville farmhouse Rental Property Information

The Brigman-Chambers House is on the National Register of Historic Places, and what an incredible home - perfect for your special reunion or small group gathering. The main living/dining area of the Brigman House has been remodeled from the original log structure, set on this spot in 1840. The rest of this lovely home was vastly added onto as a 'major renovation' back in 1880 when the 'little log cabin' became a Country Inn. Over one hundred years later, the Brigman-Chambers house received yet another full face-lift. Totally & lovingly restored in 2003, the Brigman House has all the charm of yesteryear with all the modern conveniences of today.

Golf Information: The Brigman House & BreakAway Cabin are located on Reems Creek Road and just a few miles (2 miles) and a few minutes from Reems Creek Golf Course - a course recognized as a golfing jewel Of Western North Carolina offering a secluded setting that captures the splendor and rustic beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and that has regularly won four stars in Golf Digest's “Places to Play.” Lots of the holes on this par-72 mountain course have elevation changes that test your ability to pick the right club to fit the terrain. You'll also find that most of the par-4s are almost target holes that require accuracy and strategy. One example of a great placement hole is the 5th. You're hitting downhill on this short par-4 (348 yards from the back and 251 from the front). You'll see a large lake off to the left along the fairway and another one in front of the green. It can be hard to play this hole without crossing water. “It's our signature hole,” said Larry Carter, the director of golf there. “It's not a tough hole, but when there's water to cross, it can be interesting.” The 9th hole is a great par-5 that plays at 532 yards from the back and 455 from the forward tees). “You tee off and hit up to a plateau about 200 yards from the tee box where you'll make your second shot,” Carter said. “Then you hit downhill while trying to avoid the bunkers in front of the green. It's hard to reach the green in two; you really need two good shots to do it.” Bring your golf group out..
