Montserrat villa Rental Property Information

Spanish style villa located on the cliffs just 40 feet above the ocean. Private setting with magnificent views of the coastline, tropical foliage covered mountains, and the islands of Nevis and Rodondo. From the very private pool or covered patio, enjoy spectacular sunsets on the ocean. The property is landscaped with lush tropical terraced gardens that include citrus trees, mango, coconut palms, hibiscus and numerous other flowering plants. The villa's living room has window walls that open to the covered patio, set up for outdoor dining and overlooks the pool 5 steps below. The kitchen, well equipped with new appliances, great cookware, and spices to use and enjoy, is open to the dining and living rooms. Its windows overlook a courtyard garden filled with bougainvillea, hibiscus and crotons. The master bedroom has a king bed with sliding glass doors to a balcony-patio overlooking the pool.

Hiking: explore the many trails that offer dramatic views of the varied landscape. The 'Centre Hills' where you'll find the moist, rainforest vegetation and wildlife, 'Runaway Ghaut' lush vegetation and a great picnic spot with a legend to be part of, the 'Silver Hills Trail,' which offers breathtaking views of the land, ocean, and coastline, 'Rendezvous Bay Trail,' where you'll find Montserrat's famous white sand beach, 'St George's Hill' with spectacular views of volcano damaged Plymouth and surrounding villages, plus many more trails to explore. Tour guides available. Beaches: Mostly secluded and unspoiled, perfect spots for leisurely swimming and sunbathing. Lime Kiln, a short walk, or Woodlands, Little Bay and Bunkum Bay, are just a few minutes drive away. Fishing: fishing and boat ride charters are available. Diving and snorkeling: a dive school is located on island and snorkeling is available from many of the beaches.

  • The comfortable two bedrooms are situated for maximum privacy. Down the hall from the kitchen you'll find the master bedroom with king size bed. Sliding glass doors opposite the bed lead to a balcony-patio overlooking the pool and views to the blue Caribbean sea. Bright and airy, the bedroom was designed with windows on every wall to catch the trade winds from all angles. The bathroom with tub/shower has a sliding glass door to a private, beautifully tiled outdoor shower. It's truly tropical to look up at the fronds of the coconut palm overhead while showering . The second bedroom we call our 'guest cottage'. Located adjacent to the house and kitchen garden, it offers a queen size bed and private bath. There's two rattan chairs to curl up in to read a book and a small garden patio with views to the Caribbean sea. This makes a perfect set-up for 2 couples.

The hammocks at the ocean edge offer a shady spot to enjoy the views. It's a short walk to Lime Kiln Beach, or a 10-minute drive to other beaches. Restaurants and shopping are within a short drive. Montserrat seems far away from the cares of the world. It's lush green mountains, exotic beaches and friendly people provide a safe and secure vacation spot for everyone. The slow and easy pace of life on Montserrat is a large part of its overwhelming charm. With activities such as hiking, fishing, scuba diving, or just reading in a hammock by the ocean's edge, there is always something to do. St Patrick's Week, and Christmas offer a great time to enjoy the music and culture of Montserrat. Many activities surround both holidays.

Guest Comments Aug 26, 05 It’s hard to imagine that there's a more perfect place to stay here in Montserrat than your beautiful and comfortable home, Tan Ry Doon. We’ve had one of the best vacations we’ve ever had, and we’ve had some good ones! We came to Montserrat with high hopes of loving it and wanting to make a future home here for ourselves. We have not been disappointed at all! In fact, very shortly we have an appointment to do our final negotiations to purchase a beautiful piece of property between yours and our new friends Ken & Peter. Speaking of new friends…We spent a couple of fun evenings with Ken & Peter (their welcome meal was wonderful!) & have really enjoyed their company & insight into living here. Lydia has checked in on us & has been kind & helpful as well. Thank you for making your wonderful home & impressive gardens open to us for our vacation. It’s been a fantastic week, and I can’t wait to get back to Montserrat! We hope to meet you someday soon, future neighbors! SS&

The trees are in full bloom, showing their appreciation and flooding the air with sweet fragrance. This mornings' shower, outdoors under a bright moon was the capping glory of our perfect vacation.
