Heart of Texas Hill Country We follow the river as it bursts out of Canyon Lake and follow it as it flows down River Road to New Braunfels and on to Lakes Dunlap, Placid and McQueeney. As the Guadalupe River flows east to the coast, it forms a series of small, beautiful lakes with vacation homes all along the shore. These are: Lake Dunlap, Lake Placid, McQueeney.. Canyon Lake and River Road also have waterfront vacation homes. Most are minutes from Schlitterbahn Waterpark and tubing on the Gudalupe and Comal Rivers. Betsy's Bungalow is on Lake Dunlap only three miles from Schlitterbahn and the Comal River. Dozens of area golf courses for year long golf. Enjoy historic Gruene known for the oldest dance hall in Texas. 20 miles from the largest outlet mall in Texas in San Marcos. The Alamo, Riverwalk, Fiesta Texas and Sea World in San Antonio. Vacation New Braunfels Betsy's Bungalow & Daniel's Den: The bungalow is new and furnished with expensive vintage antiques. It has 800 sq ft. Daniel's Den is a 1950's Sear's cottage and has 1,000 sq. Both are filled with antiques, books, games and lots of beds. Together they have four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two full kitchens. There is an outdoor kitchen, a sleeping porch, five decks with umbrellas and chairs. Butterfly, rose and herb gardens. Incredible landscaping.
Skiing Information: Water Ski headquarters of Texas!!
Golf Information: Landa Park, Bandit, Northcliffe, and dozens more area courses open year round.
