Blue Haven Cottage: Beautifully furnished in comfortable New England style, this house has been completely renovated yet retains a vintage Vermont charm. Located on lovely Rte 100 - Vermont's main Foliage Route! Great for year round fun and a true skier's paradise with Okemo, Bromley, Stratton, Magic and VAST trails nearby! The house is very open and bright; it has lots of windows (all weather tight) and features covered porches on two sides! Our place sits on about an acre. There is lots of room to enjoy the outside, no matter which season. Inside, we have wide plank poplar floors throughout, covered with pretty oriental-style rugs. The first floor offers plenty of space in an open floor plan. The kitchen is a cook's delight... It is well equipped and has lots of counter and cabinet space. The adjacent sunny open dining room means that you'll have plenty of company (out of your way) while you whip up a Vermont-style meal or serve your feast gathered from local gourmet shopi

1st floor Entry is through either one of the 2 beautiful covered porches. This floor is an open floor plan with a large double living room. Gorgeous wide plank poplar wood floors throughout most of the house. Lots of oriental style carpets mixed with good quality antique and modern furnishings make it elegant and comfortable. Living room has comfortable and attractive seating for a big group to relax. Down 2 steps is the kitchen and the dining room. The kitchen is warm and friendly - a pleasure to prepare (or reheat from gourmet markets) meals. Plenty of space, appliances and utensils. It is very well equipped - even has a bread maker! The dining room features huge windows on 2 sides and a big stylish antique table with comfortable dining chairs (seating for 8). As the kitchen and dining room are open floor plan, you can have plenty of company with enough room so that no one is crowded.

2nd floor Up the dramatic staircase is the well laid out second floor - there are four private bedrooms. This whole floor (except bathrooms) also has beautiful wide plank poplar wood floors. #1 large master bedroom with Queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom - also a small office area with high speed Internet access (wireless Internet throughout the house). Windows on 3 sides to let in lots of light and greenery views. #2 large bedroom with Queen-size bed and direct access to shared bath - 3 windows on 2 sides make this a bright beautiful room. #3 bedroom with double bed - shared bath is across the hall - cozy retreat that is 100% decorated with 'VT Country Store' fabrics and an antique dresser. #4 small bedroom with bunk beds - shared bath is next door - small but very comfortable with 2 closets and a big window. All bedrooms have plenty of closet space and very comfortable quality furnishings, including good quality linens. All bathrooms are modern and in perfect condition.

This beautifully furnished and well laid out Vermont country home has charm and comfort in a peaceful setting yet close to 'everything'! Weston is a 'picture postcard' Vermont village. Come and explore the original Vermont Country Store and the other shops, galleries, museums and restaurants of our small and very special village. In the Winter you can have 4 Ski Resorts with-in 16 miles - house is located on a very well plowed road, so you can get here or to the slopes in any weather! Never get bored skiing the same mountain every day - you are close enough to enjoy different terrains daily. In the Spring and Summer you will enjoy the fresh air and sophisticated country lifestyle. The Weston Playhouse (plus the theater annex) are close by - this is the oldest theater in Vermont and offers 'Equity' performances in an intimate setting. The Weston rec center is a short walk -with courts and a spring fed swimming pond! In Autumn, you can stay on the main foliage route in VT.

Skiing Information: Just over the mountain from Okemo (under 10 miles) with Stratton, Bromely and Magic within 16 miles! Great choice of terrains and slopes so close by. Mt Snow, Killington and many many others are an easy drive. Weston is easy to access in the winter and out of the 'resort crush' - why stay in a condo when you can have a beautiful house!
