McNerney's Island - a unique vacation paradise that offers the ultimate in rest and relaxation. Located in beautiful Connecticut, New England, you will find all the pleasures of home while living your dream vacation. The pace you follow is your own and the fun you have is of your own design. Everything you will need for comfort and enjoyment is just waiting for you to come and take advantage of. The home - split level with a spacious (30'X30') main room, the house is more than 'just a log cabin.' It sleeps 15 comfortably! An impressive 12' stone fireplace graces the main room. It also has a pool table, card table and big screen HD TV. The kitchen facilities, including microwave and two refrigerators, provide all the equipment you would need to make a gourmet meal. The interior of the house ranges from polished knotty pine and exposed wooden beams, to old-fashioned hand loomed rugs, and an overhead 3 speed decorative fan that provides both air circulation and charm.

Recreation - Want to fish, go canoeing or water-skiing? McNerney's Island provides whatever kind of boat you will need to enjoy the surrounding lake. For fun or transportation, we have two canoes, two small fishing boats (one with an electric motor, one with gas), a 20 foot party barge (seats 10 people and can pull one tuber), a ski boat and a paddle boat. There is also a shuttle boat to get you back and forth from the mainland to the island. Fishing in our lake is sure to be a superbly satisfying experience. The lake is approx. 8 miles in length and is well stocked with large-mouth bass, northern pike, calico bass, yellow perch, chain peckerel, trout and small-mouth bass. ******************************************Attention ************************************ Note: Owner does not update calendar on this site.   • $850-$1150/wknd 4-10 guests, $1800-$2900/wk

    May, October & November:
    $2200/week - One Boat

    June or September:
    $2900/week - All small boats.

    July or August:
    $3700/week - Choice of One Ski Boat.
    ($4500/week - All Boats).

    $1100/weekend for a 3 or 4 day weekend for 4 people.
    $1200/weekend for 6 people.
    $1400/weekend for 8 people.
    $1600/weekend for 10 people.

    Prices based on up to a party of 10 people; $100 Extra per person over 10 - per week all weeks & weekends.

    $1500 Security Deposit - All weeks $45 fee - Lake tour - First time renter (at island).

    Extra Boats (spring & fall weeks & weekends):
    Bass Boat - $200.
    Ski Boat - $800.
    Pontoon Boat - $700.

Swimming, having a clambake, playing on the children's gym set, mastering darts or croquet are only a few of the other recreational activities that you and your family can enjoy on McNerney's Island! Although you may never want to leave, the island is also close to state parks with hiking trails, antique shops, restaurants, the Thompson Speedway & Golf Courses, Mystic Seaport, The Plainfield Dog track, horseback riding facilities, Sturbridge Massachusetts and Newport Rhode Island. Also, 2 new casinos have recently opened at the nearby Indian reservations, just 35 minutes away.
