Charming chalet offers beautiful views of Lake Christopher & Mt Abrams. Great cross country or downhill skiing and boarding abounds with a drive 15 minutes to Sunday River or 5 minutes to Mt Abram. Snow mobile trails nearby plus snowshoeing and sledding. The Bethel area has lots to do for singles and families who enjoy the outdoors, shopping, & eating. Looking to just relax, the chalet offers comfortable furnishings, entertainment center, deck with outstanding views and lots of wildlife sightings and woodstove with open viewing so you can cozy up by the fire. The chalet has 3 floors of living space with a bedroom on each floor. Upper level contains a loft & master bedroom/ bath. Open floor plan allows you to cook while enjoying conversation, absorbing the great view, or of course watching the Patriots or your favorite sport/show! 2 TVs with satellite including local channels, DVD and VCR plus stereo system with speakers on 2 floors. High speed DSL connection available.

Skiing at Sunday River and Mt Abrams. Mt. Abrams is a great family ski resort about 5 minutes away. We are about 20 minutes away from Sunday River, New England's premier ski resort. Hiking in the White Mountains and Grafton Notch are nearby. Excellent road biking on quiet country roads. Kayaking and canoeing the many local lakes and rivers. Great fly fishing and swimming spots. Excellent dining and shopping options available in Bethel, which is 15 minutes away and North Conway, NH which is an hour's drive. Bryant Pond is 3 hours from Boston and before Sunday River.

Skiing Some of the finest skiing in the northeast is minutes away. Sunday River, now under new management, is 15 minutes away. Lesser known, but a great spot for families, is Mt. Abrams. Mt. Abrams is 5 minutes away and is totally geared for families with younger children. Rates are affordable and their is a Sunday morning half day pass. Night skiing is also available and they have recently installed a magic carpet. Anyone who has tried to teach a kid to ski with a rope tow type lift will never go back after experiencing the joys of a magic carpet. Aside from downhill skiing there is also excellent cross country skiing available. The lakes are always fun to get out on and there are three cross country ski area in the Bethel area: Bethel country club, Carter's off on Intervale, and Sunday River. Bethel offers classic groomed golf course type skiing experience and Carter's offers both open and in woods trials.

Road Biking The Bethel area offers some outstanding road biking opportunities. Ride out the door and enjoy loops from as short as 12 miles to as long as 60 plus. This is a great way to experience the beauty of the country side. Mapped loops with descriptions are available for you.

Hiking Great hiking opportunities exists. Evan Notch, Pinkham Notch, and Grafton Notch are all less then 45 minutes away. Lesser known hiking opportunities also exists. Hikes range from family style 1-2 hikes to overnights. I can work with you to develop\inform you on the multiple hiking opportunities that exists and help you decide what best meets your needs and abilities.
