Farmington house Rental Property Information

From your bed watch the sun rise over Clearwater Lake or the moon illuminate the surrounding forested mountains whilst listening to the call of the loons. This former hunting lodge set in 50 acres of private woodland with 300 foot of lake frontage provides a perfect setting for family summer holidays, hunting trips, snowmobiling and skiing parties, or a foliage tour. Built over one hundred years ago 100 feet from the lake it is furnished with local antiques whilst providing all the facilities of modern living. There are three ensuite double bedrooms, a further double bedroom, and four bed childrens' room; house bathroom and separate shower, fully equipped modern kitchen with microwave, electric range and wood burning stove, laundry, large drawing room with open fire, separate dining area. There is full oil fired central heating for the winter months. Two verandas on the lake side of the house provide a further dining and sitting area with a full view of the lake.

Located nine miles from Farmington and less than three and a half hours from Boston. Farmington has a full range of shops including an organic store, local butcher (supplying lobster) delicatessen and large supermarket along with a cinema, restaurants and the Titcombe ski slope. Forty minute drive from Sugarloaf and Saddleback Ski areas. Connected with a wide range of snowmobiling trails, close to the Appalachian Trail. Also available locally horse riding, climbing, biking, golf, water skiing, donnuting, jet skiing, windsurfing, sailing and white water rafting. 90 minutes from Freeport shopping outlet, home of LL Bean.
