Guest Book In the winter, the bay usually is the first place to form ice where you can skate and ice fish. After the snow flies we maintain an ice skating rink or you can enjoy cross country skiing, snowshoeing or snowmobiling across the lake. The Islands are noted for great ice fishing for perch, smelt, walleye, salmon, trout and northern pike with shanty rentals nearby. This is a popular destination area for family vacations, with 50% of our customers repeating. Fisherman, if you want to explore Champlain's Lake Trout and Atlantic salmon fishery, book with us in April 15th - mid-June, or Sept - mid-October. Ice fishermen welcome watching the shoreline from inside by fireside.
