Area Attractions Less than a mile from the beach. About 1/2 mile to Great Pond, a beautiful crystal clear fresh water pond with beaches and bike paths. From ocean to bay is about 2 miles across. Beachcomber restaurant, Wellfleet flea market with cinemas and shopping, horseback riding, Whitecrest beach within walking distance, Eastern Coast Surfing Championship, fresh sushi at Mac's Seafood, sailing and other boat tours, get fresh seafood at the dock, Cape Cod dunes are the real thing.
