Southbury cottage Rental Property Information

This updated cottage on Pomperaug River feeds 1/4 mile into Lake Zoar, bring the boat. There is audubon nature preserve to hike, rapids to canoe, river to swim, fishing, boating, or relaxing and reading. Part of a tiny cottage community very private on private road, great for kids and/or adults. *We do provide a paddle boat, and canoe. We also have a floating dock *Southbury is part of the CT Rt 6 antique district *The cottage has both a/c and heat if needed *If you really must work we high speed Internet. We have all premium t.v. channels *Southbury boasts Starbucks, Gap, Pier 1, 2 Super size grocery stores, 1 epicure, Talbots, fine dining, so its set in nature but within 5 minutes of some 'civilization' *NYC is approximately 1.5 hour drive, Boston 2hours. The bus station is in town and train service is located in Waterbury (15 miles).

If you enjoy nature, the outdoors and getting away, this is it. Woodbury Antique District is the next town, Litchfield after that. Located 5 min from I84 exit 14 in Southbury, CT. We have fishing for bass, trout, perch etc directly out front, with great trout pools in the rapids 1/8 mile up river.
