A door exits to the 8’ by 90’ brick walk with flowerbeds that stretches the full length of the home on the Bay side. Still facing east from the sink- in front of you is a Butcher-block 4’ by 5’ island with large storage beneath, then a large mahogany dining table. Another step west brings you into the 15’ by 27’ “Study” with built in desks at either end. Full and queen beds included North through the Dutch door from the Kitchen is the 37’ by 18’ TV/game room. 32’ of large windows and a slider look out onto the bay. The guest “apartment” has an open 16’ by 24’ open room style with windows and a glass slider looking out onto the Bay. The slider opens onto an 8’ by 23’ deck. A 14’ by 15’ bedroom and a full bath make up the balance of the guest apartment. Includes a queen and twin bed. There are 4 bedrooms and three full baths upstairs in the main house over the Living room, Kitchen and study. The South bedroom, with twin beds, is 12’ by 18’ with a walk in closet and full bath with Jacuzzi tub. The “middle” bedroom, with twin beds, is 15’ by 16’ and has two large closets. Both these bedrooms have a wall of windows facing the Bay. The “Master” bedroom Suite is 17 ½’ by 26 ½’. One L has 2 walls of closets and a full bed next to the Bay facing windows. The other L has a Queen bed with a window to the west and an 8’ glass slider on the Bay side that opens onto an 8’ by 19’ deck. Suite includes full bath.
Interior Description Continued
The “back” bedroom, 11’ by 20’, has windows on three sides looking out onto the Formal entrance and kitchen Patios. This room also has a walk in closet. Between the back bedroom and top of stairs is another full bath. Because of its proximity to both, the occupants of the middle and back bedrooms normally share it. I over heard one dinner guest telling another “it looks like a maritime museum” I never realized it before but I understand that it could give that impression with the décor of Paintings, scrimshaw and other collectibles from a maritime family going back to the early 1600’s arriving on these New England shores.
Paradise for Sailors, Fishermen
