Escape the Summer Heat... Escape the hustle and bustle of the everyday at this quiet mountain get-away nestled on a wooded mountain side. If it seems that each year the summers are hotter and the crowds are bigger, escape to this retreat where 4500 ft elevation means the average summer temperature is a mild 77 degrees. Just a short drive down the mountain the possibilities are endless. Hiking, shopping, dining, gem mining, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, Linville Caverns, horseback riding, Mast General Store and so much more are within a 1/2 hr drive. There is something for all ages, you'll find the area perfect for a romantic retreat of a fun-filled family get-away!

Spectacular Fall Foliage... There's nothing like a North Carolina autumn! During October and early November, you can enjoy spectacular fall foliage around the cabin. The evening temperatures are cool enough for a cozy fire in the fireplace, but the days are warm enough to comfortably enjoy the outdoors. Be sure to visit the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway for a breath-taking display of colors and incredible mountain views.

Winter Wonderland... During the winter months, you are sure to enjoy the beautiful mountain views from the deck and the convenience of Hawksnest Ski Resort, just 1 mile up the road. The resort offers three slopes, lessons and an awesome snow tube run for the kids (and kids-at-heart!) Within a 1/2 hrs drive you can also find Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and Beech Mountain Ski Resort. Then escape the crowded slopes and return to a crackling fire at your quiet mountain get-away at Carolina Cabin. The wooded and natural setting offer abundant wildlife and fresh mountain air that is sure to provide a change of attitude along with the change in altitude. You are sure to leave rejuvenated and ready to return to the 'real world' after your mountain get-away at our Carolina Cabins!
