Luxury at a cost - Space to unwind Clamshell has always been rated by our guests as one of the very best condos on Sanibel. Our fees reflect the fact that we have spared nothing to provide the very best. Perhaps that is why over 90 percent of our rental days each year come from repeat renters, some of whom have been coming to Clamshell for more than 15 years. We are set up to accommodate 4 people maximum, but offer more living space than many other condos claiming to sleep 8 and more. We don't rely on sofa-beds, futons, air-matresses in living areas - every guest gets a bed in a bedroom with private bath and spacious closets. And because three of the six Clamshell townhouses are used only by owners, none of whom ever use the beach, you will find that Clamshell's 300 feet of Gulf-front beach is almost always yours to enjoy on your own.
