There is a library with sofa bed and games and books for adults and children The house is part of an association that has 1600 ft of ocean frontage including a small sandy beach which is available for guests. There are picnic tables and benches at the shore. Tread mill and rowing machine in upstairs bedroom.

Historical John Smith arrived at John's Bay December 24th 1614. He then sailed around what is now Rutherford Island to a cove now called Christmas Cove. A museum and a restored fort, William Henry, stands on Colonial Pemaquid. There are several old cellars and cemetery on the site.

Pemaquid Beach White sand beach approx. 1 mile from house. Has take out and facilities. Parking is inexpensive.
