If art isn’t your bag, travel to Monroe and check out the Northeast Louisiana African American Heritage Museum.
Nature-lovers will enjoy the Aquarium of the Americas and the world-class Audubon Zoo. Or travel outside of New Orleans and enjoy a rustic vacation rental elsewhere in Louisiana, perhaps in Slidell or the Barataria Basin.
