Finding the property that is ideal for you

To find vacation rentals for a specific destination:

• enter the location key words in the "Destination or Property ID" search box on the home page, or
• under Vacation Rentals Search, click Geographic Search and navigate to a location by clicking on the map(s)

When you have gotten to your desired lowest geographical level, you will see a list of properties on a search results page. You can further refine this set of search results using the criteria on the left hand side of the page. This includes available dates, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, property type, amenities, and so on.

At any point in your search, you will see the key word search box at the top of the page. You can begin a new search using this feature.

Property Details and Inquiries

Once you have found a property that meets your criteria, simply click "View Details" to view its full listing. The Property Details page includes:

• Title or headline
• Summary of the location and accommodation
• A short description of the property
• Up to 12 color photographs with captions
• Rental rates, plus notes to the rental rates
• The season normally available for renting, plus a link to the latest availability
• A checklist of accommodation and facilities.
• Further details about the property or the area
• Details of how to contact the owner or agent by email, telephone or fax

If you are interested in renting a property, scroll down to the Contact section of the listing. Owners will either list their phone number, e-mail address or both. Please contact the owner or property manager directly about renting the property.

The availability calendar of each property advertised is updated by the owners. Most of our owners keep their calendar very up-to-date. However, we cannot force owners to do so. Please inquire about specific dates with the owner directly using the contact information advertised on their listing.

Finding a A1Vacations Property Number

If you have the property number of a certain vacation rental, you can go straight to that listing by entering that property number into the key word search box on the home page. You will find the property number within the headline of each A1Vacations listing.

Finding New Vacation Ideas

On the A1Vacations home page, there is a list of special links to vacation ideas such as beach, ski, golf, lake and most popular. Just click on any link that attracts you for new vacation places to visit.

Making a Favorites List

A1Vacations allows you to add properties to a Favorites list by clicking "Add to My Favorites" on the search results pages or the Property Details pages. You can register or sign in to your Favorites list by clicking My Favorites under Vacation Rentals Search.

You can also email a friend about a property you found on A1Vacations . On any search results page or Property Details page, you will see a "Sent to a Friend" link. Click this link and fill out the form which includes a personal message from you. Your friend will receive your message and a link to view the property.
