With its mix of volcanic landscapes and sub-tropical rainforest terrain, this is one area where you can truly rekindle your love for the great outdoors or discover that spark in someone who is just beginning to experience nature’s wonders.

Since these are a bit removed from your Haiku vacation rental, it might also be comforting to know that there is plenty to see and do from your peaceful home base. Just a few minutes away, Hookipa Beach Park (the windsurfing capital of the world) is a great place to catch a glimpse of jaw-dropping pros as they work their magic, while the shops, boutiques and restaurants of Paia offer a laid-back look at the evolution of the north shore.
