Smith Mountain Lake may be reached by car in 45 minutes from Roanoke, VA, four hours from Washington, DC, three hours from Richmond, VA, or two hours from Greensboro, NC. Autumn Cove features three bedrooms -- each with its own attached bathroom. The home has a large great room and family room, a two-car garage, large deck, an all-weather patio, a private dock for boating and swimming and a great view of Smith Mountain Lake. Amenities include central air-conditioning, a large kitchen, two TVs, two VCRs, DVD player and a stereo with CD and cassette players. A gas grill is available for outdoor cooking. Relax with your family, and enjoy some privacy.

Nestled in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Smith Mountain Lake is developing a reputation as a premier vacation destination. Spread out over three counties in southwestern Virginia, this man-made lake covers 20,600 acres, and has over 500 miles of shoreline. Among the many water activities at Smith Mountain Lake are power boating, canoeing, sailing, parasailing, swimming, fishing, water skiing, wakeboarding, and jet skiing. The Smith Mountain lakefront includes seven public boat launching sites and many public and private marinas. Other 'off-water' area attractions include 3 public and 2 private golf courses and historic attractions such as Booker T. Washington National Monument and the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, Virginia. The picturesque scenery of the area can be enjoyed along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The nearby cities of Roanoke and Lynchburg offer numerous diversions for families including the Science Museum of Western Virginia and Amazement Square.

Read a book (we have a collection to choose from) or enjoy a variety of water sports such as boating, jet-skiing, water-skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, swimming, floating, or just watching the boats go by on their way to and from the Smith Mountain Yacht Club. Autumn Cove is conveniently located five minutes by car from grocery shopping, and less than ten minutes by boat or car from Hales' Ford Bridge. From the water, we are near channel marker R27A. At the bridge area, a variety of entertaining activities await your family including miniature golf, an arcade, live music, boat rentals, art galleries, delis, outdoor dining, and ice cream! Bridgewater Plaza was the site of a recent BassMasters professional fishing tournament, attended by several thousand spectators. Autumn Cove provides private sleeping accomodations for six persons. The bed inventory includes 1 king, 1 queen and 2 twin beds. No smoking in the house, please. Pets are welcome if they are contained on the lower level.
