Enjoy swimming, fishing, jet-skiing, and boating from the dock, or just watching the blue heron, geese, and ducks from the sunroom or patios. Relax as the sun reflects off the water. Visit the sights of western and Piedmont North Carolina. Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Asheville, and the mountains are all within an easy drive. Enjoy shopping for furniture at the Hickory Furniture Mart or along US 321, gem mining in Hiddenite, races at the tracks in Hicory, Charlotte or No Wilksboror, or golf at local courses. The spacious great room and sunroom (each 30 feet long), in addition to the half-acre site, make this a wonderful place for a one- or two-week vacation with the family -- or a longer-term exploration of retirement possibilities. Retirees and soon to be retired This is a great location to check out possible retirement homes in western and central-western North Carolina: Hickory, Asheville, Hendersonville, Boone, Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Greensboro areas are all close enough to scout out and still come 'home' each night. For extended stays in the off-season, call for special rates.

Fishing Best seasons are mid-spring, especially April, and mid-fall, especially October
