*Spacious and tasteful home on 30 acres with a stocked fishing pond
*Near great fishing on either the Madison River or Jefferson River
*The home has three bedrooms and two and a half baths, approximately 2400 square feet.
*One of our few homes with dsl service, and also a computer for guests to use for internet access.
*For larger groups, a sweet guest cabin is located out by the pond, about 800 square feet.
*The main home can accommodate up to ten guests, and another three in the guest cabin.

Brief Description: This three bedroom home enjoys a private location on 30 acres just a little bit north of the Madison Valley. Guests will enjoy fantastic mountain views and lots of peace and quiet at this home. There is a stocked trout pond on the property for some practice casting!

Bedrooms and baths: The home has three tastefully decorated bedrooms and two full bathrooms, plus a half bath off the living area. The master bedroom is very spacious and has a king size bed and large private bath. The bath has a deep soaking tub and a separate shower. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and are nearly identical. They each have a large bunk bed that has a queen size bed on the bottom and a twin up top. Plus over in the window alcove is one more twin bed. There is one full bathroom off in the hall between these bedrooms. The main house can accommodate up to ten guests. There is also a guest cabin for additional guests, or to just have a little more space.

Kitchen: This fully equipped kitchen has top of the line appliances and amenities. It has absolutely everything you will need for any meal you have planned. There is a nice selection of cookware, serving ware and a good spice cabinet as well. Out on the deck you will find a gas barbecue grill and seating for those outdoor meals.

Dining area: The dining area adjoins the kitchen, with a beautiful dining table with bench seats that will seat a group of up to ten comfortably. There is additional seating at the bar counter.

Living room: The living area is off to the side of the dining room and kitchen - the open space of this home is great for gathering after your day of fishing or hiking in the area. Cozy leather sofas are arranged nicely for conversation, enjoying the views out the windows, or relaxing in front of the entertainment center. There is a large screen television with satellite service, plus a dvd player with a small movie selection.

Guest cabin: This sweet guest cabin is located out on the "peninsula" of the pond area. The cabin has a cozy, western design. It has a kitchenette area, appropriate for a quick breakfast or snack to save a trip to the big house. The living area has a couple of easy chairs, and doors out to the back deck with a view looking out over the pond. Upstairs is a loft area with one double bed and one twin bed. The cabin has a full bath with shower only. The cabin can be added to your rental of the main house for a charge of $500 per week.

Setting, acreage, views: The Big Hat is located on 30 private acres. The rugged Tobacoo Root Mountain range is nearly all you can see from the home! The beautiful pond is surrounded by trees, and offers some great practice casting before you head out for the day's adventures.

Services available: The rental rate includes a weekly cleaning. Additional housekeeping, as well as catering services, and grocery shopping, can be arranged with a bit of prior notice. The home provides a computer with high speed internet access for guest use.

Activities nearby: Besides hiking and mountain biking on nearby trails in the Tobacco Root Mountains, there is fishing, horseback riding, rafting, golf, and tours of Yellowstone National Park. The closest town is an old mining town, nearly a ghost town, called Pony -- great for getting a feel for the Old West!

Closest town and airport: It's about 30 minutes drive to either Ennis or Three Forks. Bozeman's Gallatin Field airport is just over an hour away.

Other details: There is a private phone at the home for guests use for local calls. No smoking is allowed in the home. No pets are allowed on the property or in the home without prior written approval from Mountain Home. The home has a laundry room with a washer and dryer. All Mountain Home properties have fully equipped kitchens, and include good quality kitchen, bath and bed linens, and staples like paper goods, laundry, dish and hand soaps.
