Redway cabin Rental Property Information
This funky, yet comfortable cabin is on the south fork of the Eel River -- two miles north of Garberville, off Highway 101. The cabin is with-in driving distance to Humboldt State Park and Shelter Cove.
Winter fishing and summer floats are popular with our renters. A longer drive will get you to Ferndale Victorians, Eureka, Arcata, Pacific Lumber Mill (good tour), and other Humboldt County hot spots.
The cabin is situated amidst quiet surroundings, near the end of a one-lane road, with an outdoor fire pit. It's within walking distance of a great swimming hole, blackberry picking, and redwood groves with no crowds.
Special features of the cabin include a huge picture window overlooking the river, a curious moose head above the window, and a stone fireplace that enhances the eclectic nature of the cabin. The cabin was built in the 1920's as a Pacific Lumber model home (so there are lots of doors). And it was later used as a cook house for the crew- its rustic in its nature.

Our cabin is a great old cabin that makes most folks feel right at home. We call it rustic so you don't expect luxury accommodations, there could be cobwebs from those pesky spiders, a chimney swift that decides it likes our fireplace as its roost or a friendly salamander hanging out in the wood pile- so please for all of our enjoyment make sure its the right place for you . We have families return every year because they fall in love with it as we have and we haven't changed much although slowly we are working on it. You will be entertained by the guest book entries and how people report out on their adventures and we would love you to give us a try !! |
