On the estate there are also two guest houses which have there own garden and swimming pool and house a total of 4 apartments. These two houses are united by a covered patio, and share a living room and a private parking lot. The property is situated on a hillside with a breathtaking view of Voterra and is seperated from the public road. Altogether 40 guests can be accomodated on the property, villa plus 2 guest houses, making this an ideal location for family reunions, parties or groups on vacation. The estate is very close to the medioaeval part of town, a fine restaurant, an open air cafè and a grocery store.

This 2 bedroom apartment is located on the third floor and has it's own entrance via an outside staircase that connects to the open gallery and the garden. From the balcony at the top of the stairs you enter into a bright kitchen/living-room with a circular staircase that takes you up to the roof garden with it's breathtaking view of the countryside. The two sofa's by the fireplace each become a single bed. One of the bedrooms has a queen size bed and the other has bunk-beds. Each bedroom has it's own bath, including a whirlpool tub in the master bath. Of course guests are welcome to enjoy the open gallery and the garden with the pool and a Bar-B-Q. Special attention has been given to the furnishing and decorating of the apartment so as to maintain the antique atmosphere without giving up on modern comforts.

You'll find Lari Castle a short 2km from Casciana Alta, the historic center of the town. Among the attractions of the area are: restaurants, cafés, tennis courts, etc. The countryside is perfect for walks and/or hikes.

Culture and Culinary Tradition The Era Valley is well known for the high quality of it's farmer's produce, particularly the wine and olive oil; and the local restaurants and wine bars serve typical Tuscan cuisine. Special summer events include: concerts, theatre, and traditional folkloristic festivals. Beautiful mediaeval towns such as Volterra and San Gimigniano are close by. Also within easy reach are towns such as Pisa, Florence and Lucca.

The Coast Rosignano Marittima and Vada are the closest beaches, but Cecina, San Vincenzo and the Golf of Baratti are not too far. For the kids Cecina offers a water park and there is an amusement park in San Vincenzo. Up and down the coast are plenty of places to indulge in 'wining and dining' and/or dancing.
