The “Mansarda” is an elegant first-floor apartment in what used to be a chapel. Together with the villa next to it the building was part of a large farmhouse. The property, opening on to a pleasant garden, is situated 10 kms. south of Siena, which is within easy reach by car along a road that winds its way through the so-called “Crete Senesi”, hills of extraordinary beauty. Superb location, in quiet and convenient position, the apartment is comfortably furnished with air conditioning and an independent entrance. Allows relaxing stays and is a good starting point for excursions both in the car or walking. Private covered car park is available. Within short walking distance you find the post-office, a public phone, bar, pizzeria-restaurant and a supermarket. Bed linen and bath towels are included in the price; gas and electricity are paid by the meter. The apartment is meant for self-catering, but breakfast can be arranged at an extra.

Villa Luisa, the property of a former English teacher, is the ideal location if you wish to visit and enjoy the city of Siena even on a daily base as it is only 10 km away. Here the Palio is run twice a year. The property is in a hamlet called Ville di Corsano right next to the Etruscan area, on the way to the SS. 2 Cassia leading to Rome, also at 10 km. The area is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills whose colour change from green to brown and others covered in local mediterranean vegetation. Nearby you find tracks for walking, horse trekking and cycling. Of great interest and at a short distance are: the Etruscan Museum of Murlo (10 km), S. Gimignano (30 km), Volterra (40 km), Buonconvento (20 km), Montalcino (30 km), Pienza and S.Quirico (40 km) and the Orcia Valley with Monasteries and Abbeys, S.Galgano Abbey and the Chapel with the Sword in the Rock, as well as the thermal spas of Petriolo(20 km), Rapolano (30 km), Bagno Vignoni (40 km).

The loft-style apartment has a sleeping area with a double bed, a king-size bed and a comfortable single folding bed ( for a max. of 4 people).The sitting-room area has two large armchairs, a sofa and T.V. that can be watched also from the beds and from the dining area with a table sitting four people. The well-equipped kitchen is a nice space to enjoy cooking. The large bathroom has a bath and a washing machine. The loft has beautiful large windows looking onto the garden with a full view of Siena in the distance. The ceiling has the traditional chestnut beams and the walls are painted with gentle pastel colours. The furniture is carefully chosen and in old Italian style. A large bookshelf provides a nice selection of books in Italian and English, also on art and history. Outside the entrance, on the cotto tiled terrace , the guests can enjoy their morning breakfast in lovely tuscan light.
