Apartment Posiedon The beach is at the bottom of the garden. The two air-conditioned bedrooms with sea views and tiled balconies contain single beds, built-in wardrobes, dressing tables and mirrors. The floors are of cherrywood parquet. Access is gained to the balconies by very large, double-glazed windows with electrically operated blinds. Fully tiled bathroom with bath, shower and bathroom cabinet. A spacious, tiled, air-conditioned open-plan living unit with sea views on the lower floor leads onto the very large patio with pergola. This includes a lounge, dining area and fully-fitted, cherrywood kitchen with cooker, dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, iron and ironing board, toaster and electric kettle. Two large settees and an armchair provide sleeping accommodation for an adult and 2 children. Coffee table, very large dining table, 6 chairs, hifi system, VCR/DVD combo player, satellite TV and fireplace. At the bottom of the marble stairs there is a toilet/washroom.

Gennadi is well appointed for post office, supermarkets, bakery, cafes, bars, cyber cafe and tavernas. A Bureau de Change is also available in high season. Further facilities are available in Kiotari and the pretty village of Lardos (13kms). All of these are accessible by bus from Gennadi. Turkey and various Greek islands including Symi and Karpathos are easily accessible on a daily basis. Other sailing activities are available on the island. There are theme parks and the unique Valley of the Butterflies within 45 mins by car. Rhodes Old Town is a World Heritage Site.

Access The apartment is accessed through a door at the front of the house and is suitable for children. The marble stairs are wide with handrails. The bedrooms of the Posiedon apartment are directly accessible from the front door which has steps leading up to it. The whole property has electric heating/air-conditioning. There is a TV with satellite points in the living room.

Coast and Beach The beauty of this property is its position next to the beach, which is almost private because access from the road is very limited to passing traffic. It is used mainly by residents. The 10 kilometre sweep of Gennadi Bay is magnificent with views to Kiotari and Pefkos. The beach is sand and pebble. It is ideal for beachcombing. The sea is clean with a Green Flag award and is suitable for swimming for most of the year.

Things to see on Rhodes Rhodes enjoys 300 days of sun per year. It is an island full of historical and archaeological interest. The island narrows at this point to 22kms across to the beautiful west coast. It is about 6kms to Kiotari, 17kms to lively Pefkos and 22kms to the famous tourist centre of Lindos. It is 24kms to Prassonissi in the south where the Mediterranean and the Aegean Seas meet spectacularly.
