  • FAMILY BEDROOM - In this large bedroom there is one normal double bed and a large built-in wardrobe. There is also a single bed with a second single bed beneath that slides out and can raise up to normal height creating either 2 single beds or one double. SECOND BEDROOM - This bedroom is accessed from the family bedroom. It has one double bed and a separate wardrobe. Both bedrooms are at the front of the cottage and have lovely views across Honfleur to the hills beyond. LIVING ROOM - There is a convertible sofa that opens out to a full size double bed. VERY YOUNG CHILDREN - A foldaway cot, mattress and protector is stored in the family bedroom, but could be used in either bedroom.

Notes:

The recently installed fitted kitchen is fully equipped and very attractive. Cleaning equipment is provided, including vacuum cleaner, ironing board with iron, brushes, mops etc. just in case you might need them !! Blankets, pillows and mattress protectors are supplied and included in the rental. However, bed linen (sheets, pillow cases and towels) are not included, but can be supplied at a very reasonable hire charge and we would be pleased to book them for you if you are not able to bring your own. Non smoking preferred.

Further Details for the cottage in Normandy, France

PARKING AND EXTERIOR - There is street parking almost opposite the cottage and also just round the corner in the adjacent road. Our road is one-way with very little traffic, mostly residential. The area surrounding the cottage is very quiet and only 4-5 minutes walk to the centre of Honfleur. Unfortunately we do not have our own garden. The cottage is entered through a side shared courtyard, which is for access only. With consideration for our adjacent neighbours, it cannot be used for sitting out or barbecues.

SUITABILITY - The cottage has a steepish spiral staircase and may not be suitable for the elderly, infirm or persons with restricted mobility. The two bedrooms are on the first floor with one room accessed from the other. Although there are sufficient beds for six people (by using the convertible sofa in the living room) plus two further single beds in the main bedroom, the cottage is not large and would ideally be suited for up to four adults plus two children.

BED LINEN - Blankets, pillows and mattress protectors are supplied and included in the rental. However, bed linen (sheets, pillow cases and towels) are not included, but can be hired at very reasonable cost and we would be pleased to book them for you if you are not able to bring your own.

Golf Information: - There are excellent golf courses at Deauville, only 25 mins by car from Honfleur, at St. Gatien about 10 mins away and at Pont l’Evêque about 15 mins away.
