Situated in a small peaceful hamlet, this gorgeous 17c château in its own grounds, has a lovely pool and tennis court for guests to enjoy. The large beamed studio apartment has a double bed, sofa bed, seating area with comfy sofa and armchair, dining table and chairs, a well equipped kitchen area with hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and a separate shower room where there is also a washing machine. There is everything you need to make this a really relaxing and enjoyable stay in this absolutely beautiful and unspoilt area of Provence.

St Laurent du Verdon is a tiny, peaceful village, situated in the midst of the stunning Provencal countryside. There is everything you could possibly want to explore nearby, medieval hilltop villages, the beautiful Lac Ste Croix for picnics, sailing, windsurfing, wonderful walks, cycling and riding, the spectacular Gorges du Verdon, perfumed lavender fields, thriving colourful markets, wine producing chateaux and good restaurants. The pretty market towns of Aups and Riez are 20 minutes away with the elegant and sophisticated Aix en Provence just a 60 minute drive. The beaches of the Cote d'Azur are 75 minutes away and an easy day trip but you may prefer to just relax at home by the pool! Not far from Italy, you can even visit the Friday market at Ventimiglia! The chateau is also gorgeous in winter, romantic, warm and cosy, cloudless blue skies and, for the energetic, ski slopes just a 90 minute drive! Nearest airports are Marseille and Toulon 75 minutes and Nice 90 minutes.

Things to do You are in the midst of fantastic walking and cycling country. Go riding round the lake at Artignosc, enjoy the wonderful views, and even tether up your horse and go for a dip en route! Take a boat or canoe from Quinson and sail up the Gorges with a picnic and soak up the breathtaking scenery. Perhaps you would like to learn to windsurf or sail - all available at the beautiful Lac St Croix. In April and May, wild flowers and poppies abound in all the fields and meadows and, in June and July, enjoy the heady perfume of the magnificent surrounding lavender fields which are in full bloom. There are great markets to visit, Riez and Aups (20 minutes) on Thursdays and Saturdays and Lorgues (40 minutes but worth the journey!) on Tuesdays. Explore the many pretty hilltop villages and restaurants, spend a day wine tasting at the many local chateaux! Or, just stay home, play tennis, have a barbeque, or relax by the pool.....you will not be bored!
