Nice villa Rental Property Information

The villa is the first sea fronted private house on the whole of the Bay of Nice and easily accessible to all the beauties of the Cote d'Azur. Originally build in the 18th Century it has been remodelled many times, most recently in 2001 by Jean-Marie Roig, a well known local painter. A large air-conditioned Lounge/Dining room for 8 people with panoramic views of the whole of the bay(immortalised by Raoul Dufy), private Bar and fully equipped kitchen. On the garden patio you can eat out in the sun or in the shade. All Sky TV+movies (no PPV). Full DVD, surround Video and Sound centre. The 3 bedrooms downstairs have individually controlled air conditioning. The master bedroom is en suite with WC, large sunken bath and large separate shower. Access through the French windows leads to a small lower garden. The other two bedrooms have their own shower and wash basin. And, an unique feature, a very large Steam Room (Hammam).

The Old Town There is a lot more information on our own private WEB SITE - just ask us for the address. However some ideas: Stroll through the Old Town (pre Roman). Its buzzing tiny streets packed with Art Galleries and restaurants - mainly French but also Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Creole – and wonderful local Nicean cuisine. There’s even one specialising in Irish Cooking. The tiny shops sell every conceivable range of product you would ever want – just see the Pasta Shops, the Olive Oil shops, the Perfumeries! Tuesday to Sunday (6am to 1pm) there is a Vegetable and Flower Market - and great value. On Mondays it transforms into the largest weekly Antique Market in Southern France. Also, on a square off this market, there is a Book Fair every second Saturday. There is a fantastic nightlife in Nice – especially in the Old Town. Pubs are common, as well as Brasseries, and every few streets will have a nightclub some specialising in Jazz, others Latino or contemporary music.

Places to go around Nice Just around the corner from our Villa is the renowned Nice Port, full of some of the biggest yachts to be seen anywhere. From here there are daily sailings (4 hours) to Corsica. In the area between the Chateau and the Port is a warren of streets full of Antique shops side by side. Going further East you have Villefranche with its wonderful bay (just 10 mins away) – then through Eze and onwards to Monaco in about 20 mins. By Autoroute you can reach Menton or Italy 25-30 mins. Going West there is Antibes and Juan les Pins, Cannes and St. Tropez. Going north are the quaint mountain perched villages of Grasse, and St. Paul de Vence. And in the Winter, the ski resorts of Auron, Isola 2000 or Valberg are 90 minutes away.

A last thought . . . Nice is the most vibrant and largest town of the Cote d'Azur with the blue Mediterranean on one side and the leaping Alps on the other. For 200 hundred years the town is renowned for its mild Winters, most blooming vibrant Springs and cloud-free summers. It should be said that as the Nice economy is based on tourism: security, protection and crime prevention is the number one priority for the city – ensuring safe and secure holidays for all.
