Traditional Rural Istrian Stone house and also 4 other apartments close by, in Istrian (Croatian) farming villages less than 10 minutes drive from the sea and set in beautiful, natural countryside. There are 5 apartments to cater for all numbers and needs. All have been renovated and / or fitted to the highest standards and although the prices are for self-catering, breakfast may be provided on request in certain apartments. Peaceful, rural holidays in Istria our speciality. Shops, banks, chemists, bars and restaurants are close by and a variety of home-grown organic produce is available locally - including bread, milk, cheese, vegetables, meats, wine and grappa. The locals are friendly and welcoming, and an English couple (owners of Hiza Suzanna) living in Glavani village are on hand to assist as needed with a well stocked office and shop for postcards, maps and guidebooks. Traditional Istrian stone house with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room and sitting room. The house can sleep up to 10 people as there is a high quality sofa bed in the sitting room. It can also cater for up to 2 disabled guests as access to the house is via a short ramp and there are sleeping, bathroom and kitchen facilities on the ground floor. There is ample parking and guests are welcome to use the newly landscaped garden with super water feature and the summer kitchen with a purpose built open fire for BBQs and a pizza/bread oven. Satellite TV is available in every room. A washing machine and dryer is available for the use of guests and we have phone, fax and Internet access for your use too. We live next door and our office is next to you too which has a supply of postcards, guidebooks and maps and loads of good info and advice for you to enjoy a perfect holiday. We are English but have lived here for three years...we love it and will make sure you do too!

Glavani, Barban and Krnica are each beautiful, traditional Istrian farming villages, surrounded by meadowland, woodland and small fields, criss-crossed by miles of paths - ideal for walking, cycling, horse riding. They have spectacular views of the mountains (less than 40 minutes drive away) and on a clear day (of which there are many) you can see the sea. The prettiest beach in the area is less than 10 minutes drive away and there are shops, bars and restaurants within easy reach. A variety of local, natural produce is available including, milk, cheese, vegetables, salads, meats and wine. The locals are very friendly and welcoming and many speak English. The company Istra Zivot is run by an English couple who live here permanently. They have fallen in love with the life and people and wish to show you just how wonderful the region is. Pula, Porec, Rovinj, Rabac are all just a short drive away and you'll soon realise how central we are to all the best tourist sights.

There are two seats per room too and lots of electrical points! Very well equipped and the beds are superb and all anti allergen too! All with a satellite TV in every room too and a large fan and a radiator if it does get cold, and lots of directional lights for brightness and romance or reading!

Notes:

We are very experienced in holiday accommodation and have made sure this house is to a very high calibre. It was newly renovated in 2005 and no money has been spared in providing the best fittings and all the sorts of things that often get forgotten in holiday accommodation. This year 2006 was our first year for letting here and the comments made by the customers have been thrilling for us. We are an English couple who came here three years ago and fell in love with it so quickly we stayed!!! We wish only that every one of our customers will love it too and we work very hard to ensure you will. We look forward to sharing a glass (many bottles even) of our neighbours wines (there are a lot of them!) on one of the paved terraces in the newly landscaped garden with flowing water feature right next to us!

It was very spacious and comfortable and we were made so welcome; we were treated like part of the family and were all sad to leave. You were certainly right - the farm was a great place for the kids to stay and they LOVED it. We found Istria to be a very friendly and relaxed place and the old wine and brandy isn't too bad either !!! Emma & Chris Also we have this entry for another apartment in a close by little town of Barban. Apartment Uckar is really nice place. Perfect starting point for short daily trips. Barban is a lovely little town / village. Barban often has little festivals and attractions. Please email for details. This is the home of the prstenac festival which is becoming quite an event here each year, where the horse rider has to locate and joust a hanging ring to gain points! All at very high speed!
