About in Nova Scotia The Bay of Fundy is an Eco-attraction on a par with such marvels as the Great Barrier Reef and the Rain forest of Brazil. It's mighty tides are the greatest on earth. Every day, twice daily, one hundred billion tons of seawater roll in and out of the bay. At low tide you can walk on the ocean floor. At high tide, just 6 hours later, your foot prints could be covered by the ocean, in some places the vertical difference between high & low tide is 14 meters, roughly the same height as a 4 storey building.
The Cabot Trail is a destination for all seasons. In fall, the highlands explode in a vibrant palette of nature's fiery reds, oranges, crimsons and golds. The days are warm, the evenings sweater-cool and every road leads through a tapestry of brilliant autumn colours. In winter, the hills become a crystalline fairy-land. Seemingly endless groomed trails open the winter beauty of the highlands for cross-country skiers and snowmobiles, and Ski Cape Smokey's 300-m (1000-ft) vertical drop is Atlantic Canada's unique downhill ski experience. The Bras d'Or Lakes'Trail unique tidal waters create a rich ecosystem that supports a dazzling array of wildlife. Hundreds of pairs of bald eagles nest along the lake shore and in the surrounding countryside. White-tailed deer, osprey, fox, porcupines and raccoons are also frequently seen. Peggy's Cove is a popular stop in Atlantic Canada. Set on rocky shores, the lighthouse and village at Peggy's Cove are a photographer's paradise.
