Further Details for the bungalow in Canada
Excursions to the closer surrounding Whether you are going to explore the Lighthouse route along the eastern and southern coast with its many lighthouses and take the opportunity to visit the Whoolen-Mill museum in Barringten or simply enjoy the beautiful coastal landscape or make an island roundtrip or enjoy a whale-watching boat trip, you will certainly never forget these days. Pay a visit to the Atlantic fishery museum or the world-famous sailing-ship 'Bluenose II' in Lunenburg, founded by German emigrants. Good restaurants and shopping possibilities as well as a horse-carriage-tour through the old part of the town will complete your excursion. In no case forget 'Blue skirt' directly at the Atlantic. Another tip is 'Peggy’s Cove' with its glacier carved rocks and the marvellous view from the famous lighthouse onto the open Atlantic. Also the romantic city of 'Mahone Bay' with its churches is worth a visit.
Further activities Kayaking in the Indian reservation, watching wild animals like bears, wolves, lynxes, mountain lions, mooses and deers in game reserves or open nature, fishing and grilling the fish at home. Whether you prefer to go to the restaurant or prepare your meal at home, you will enjoy both. An unconditional 'must' is a visit to the Bay of Fundy with the world’s biggest difference between low and high tide of up to 18 m. And don’t forget a visit to Halifax with its terrific shopping facilities, the navy museum, the citadel and a break in one of the port’s restaurants.
Indian Summer A special experience is a visit during the Indian Summer, which lasts until November. The deep red colours of the leaves and the changing blue of the sea form a wonderful unforgettable contrast.
Golf Information: There is a large number of international high standard golf courses that range from Lunenburg and Bridgewater to Clyde River.
